Our rich history traces back to the original architect, Earl W. Ohlinger, who designed this house for Doctor Franklin Hatfield and his wife Adelaide Dolan Hatfield. Ohlinger, an apprentice under Frank Lloyd Wright, brought his expertise in structural engineering to create a residence of structural innovation, echoing the design principles and elements witnessed in Wright's architectural legacy.

Being a part of the Taliesin Fellowship—a communal organization founded by Frank Lloyd Wright—Ohlinger contributed his skill and dedication to numerous iconic projects, including the Guggenheim Museum in New York City and the Price Tower in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
